How to send an enquiry form to a customer

Share your enquiry link so a customer can describe the job themselves, and have it land in Trame ready to quote.

Every company on Trame gets one link that opens a short form for a customer to describe their job. Send it instead of asking someone to explain everything over the phone, and it arrives in Enquiries ready to review.

  • On desktop, go to Enquiries and select Copy form link, top right.
  • On mobile, open the + capture menu from the tab bar and select Share form link.

The link is trame.co.uk/your-company/quote, one link per company, the same one every time. On desktop it copies straight to your clipboard. On a phone with sharing available, it opens your share sheet instead, so you can send it straight into a text or WhatsApp message.

What the customer sees

The customer doesn't need an account. They land on a short form under your company name and logo, and work through it in steps:

  1. What do you need done? A description, plus optional photos. Trame checks each photo and flags one that doesn't look related to the job.
  2. A few follow-up questions, generated from what they wrote, to fill in the detail a quote needs.
  3. How soon does this need to be done? Emergency, urgent, soon, or no rush.
  4. Their name, email, phone (optional) and property postcode.

As they answer, a quality pill in the corner reads Building picture..., Good detail, or Ready to quote, so they can see their answers are getting more useful. On submit, they see a thank-you screen and you get the enquiry.

Review what comes in

Open Enquiries to see everything submitted, newest and most urgent first. Select one to open its drawer: the client's contact details, the enquiry summary, every question they answered, and any photos.

From here:

  • Create job turns the enquiry into a job and client, ready for you to price.
  • Archive puts it aside without creating anything.

Note

An enquiry is not a quote. It's the description of the job. You still build and price the quote yourself once it's a job, see Building a quote.

Frequently asked

Does the customer need to create an account?

No. The form is open to anyone with the link, no login.

Yes, it's a plain URL, so it works in a text message, an email signature, or a website link.

What if the customer doesn't add photos?

Photos are optional. The form still gathers enough detail from the description and follow-up questions to work from.
