How to edit or delete a client

Contact details, notes and the client record itself are all managed from the client's own page, there's no separate edit screen.

Edit contact details

1. Go to Clients and open the client.
2. Under Contact details, edit any field directly, name, email, phone, or switch between Individual and Business.
3. Select Address to expand the address fields if you need them.
4. Click away from a field to save it. There's no separate save button.

Add internal notes

The Internal notes box on the client's page is visible only to your team, never to the customer, on any document or email. Type your note and click away to save it.

Delete a client

1. Open the client.
2. Select ⋮ beside New job, then Delete client. On your phone, tap ⋮ and choose it from the menu instead.
3. Confirm in the dialog. It reads "The client profile will be removed. All jobs, quotes, and invoices will remain on record."

If the client has an active recurring job, Trame stops you first with a second dialog, naming how many active recurring jobs exist and warning that deleting will end them and stop future invoices from being generated. Select Delete anyway to proceed, or Cancel to keep the client and its schedule running.

Frequently asked

If I delete a client, do their old invoices disappear too?

No. The confirmation dialog states that jobs, quotes and invoices already created stay on record, only the client's contact profile is removed.

Can I merge two client records instead of deleting one?

No, there's no merge tool. Delete the duplicate manually once you've moved across anything you need.

What happens to a recurring job if I delete its client?

You're stopped before it happens: Trame shows a warning naming the active recurring job and requires Delete anyway to confirm you want to end it along with the client.
