When does the money reach my account
How payout timing works for card, Pay by Bank and bank transfer, and where to check the status of a payment.
Every card or Pay by Bank payment goes straight into your own Stripe account, not Trame's. Trame never holds your money at any point, it only tells Stripe to charge the customer and records what happened.
Note
Trame takes no cut. Stripe's own processing fee is deducted automatically before the balance lands in your Stripe account, check Stripe's own pricing for the current rate.
Card payments
A card payment settles more or less immediately. The customer completes checkout, the invoice flips to Paid in Trame within moments, and the funds sit in your Stripe balance ready for your next payout.
Pay by Bank payments
Pay by Bank confirms with the customer's own bank, which isn't instant. While it's settling, the customer's invoice page shows:
Payment processing. We've received your payment and are waiting for your bank to confirm. You'll get an email when it's settled (usually within a minute, sometimes up to a few days).
Nothing on your side needs chasing, the invoice flips to Paid on its own once the bank confirms.
Your first payout
New Stripe accounts hold the first payout for 7 days after your first paid invoice, this is a standard Stripe fraud-prevention measure for new merchants, not a Trame rule. After that first payout, payouts arrive the next business day.
Checking a payout
Payout dates, amounts and history live in Stripe, not in Trame. Select Open Stripe Dashboard from Settings > Payments to see them, along with any refunds or disputes.
Bank transfer
A traditional bank transfer never touches Stripe. It goes straight into your business bank account on your bank's own timing, and Trame has no visibility into it landing. Mark the invoice as paid yourself once you see it. See recording a payment you took yourself.
Frequently asked
Does Trame ever hold my money?
No. Card and Pay by Bank payments go directly to your own Stripe account. Trame only triggers the charge and reads back the result.
Why does an invoice still say "Sent" while a Pay by Bank payment is processing?
The processing state only shows on the customer's invoice page. Your invoice in Trame stays on its current status until the payment fully clears, then it jumps straight to Paid.
Who do I contact about a delayed payout?
Stripe. Payout timing, holds and delays are managed entirely on their side, Open Stripe Dashboard is the fastest way in.
