Adding your Trame diary to your calendar
Subscribe to a read-only feed of your Trame appointments from your phone or computer's own calendar app, so your day shows up in one place.
Trame can feed your appointments straight into Apple Calendar, Google Calendar or Outlook. Once it is set up, every job you have booked shows up alongside everything else in your day, and it keeps itself up to date as you add, move or cancel appointments in Trame.
Note
The feed is one way. It shows your Trame diary in your calendar app, but you cannot create or edit an appointment from the calendar app itself. Do that in Trame, and the feed catches up.
Get your calendar link
- Go to Schedule.
- Select Sync.
- Choose your calendar app from the list:
Apple Calendar (iPhone),Google Calendar, orOutlook.
This opens a panel with Your calendar URL and a Copy button, plus the exact steps for the app you picked.
Add it to Apple Calendar (iPhone)
- Copy your calendar URL from the panel above.
- On your iPhone, open Settings, then Calendar, then Accounts.
- Tap Add Account, then Other.
- Tap Add Subscribed Calendar.
- Paste the URL, tap Next, then Save.
Your Trame appointments appear in the Calendar app within a few minutes.
Add it to Google Calendar
- Copy your calendar URL from the panel above.
- Open Google Calendar on a computer. The mobile app cannot add a calendar by URL.
- In the left sidebar, next to Other calendars, click the plus icon, then From URL.
- Paste the URL and click Add calendar.
Google only refreshes a subscribed calendar every few hours, so a new or moved appointment can take a while to show up here even though it is already correct in Trame.
Add it to Outlook
- Copy your calendar URL from the panel above.
- Open Outlook on a computer.
- Go to File, Account Settings, Internet Calendars.
- Click New, paste the URL, click Add.
- Name the calendar
Trameand click OK.
Your Trame appointments appear within an hour.
Where else to find your link
Your calendar link also lives in Settings, under Company, in the Calendar sync section. This is the only place to regenerate it.
Heads up
Regenerating the URL creates a new one and stops the old one working immediately. Anyone subscribed to the old link, including you on another device, stops getting updates and has to add the new one instead.
Frequently asked
What shows up in the feed?
Your booked appointments only, the same ones you see on Schedule. Each entry carries the job title, the client's name, and the client's address if you have one on file for them. Quotes, invoices and enquiries do not appear, because they are not on the diary.
Can I edit an appointment from my phone's calendar?
No. The feed is read-only. Move, edit or cancel the appointment in Trame, and your calendar app picks up the change the next time it refreshes.
Who can regenerate the calendar link?
Only the account owner. It is a Regenerate URL action under Settings, Company, and it is not shown to other team members.
Why hasn't a change shown up in my calendar app yet?
Trame's feed updates the moment you make a change in the app. What varies is how often your calendar app checks it: Apple Calendar checks every few minutes, Google Calendar every few hours, and Outlook roughly once an hour. There is nothing to refresh on the Trame side, it is just waiting on your calendar app's own schedule.
