Your subscription and what it covers
How Trame's 30-day free trial works, what the Monthly and Yearly plans cost, and what happens if you don't add a card in time.
Every Trame account starts with a 30-day free trial, no card required. After that, Trame is one plan with everything included, billed either monthly or yearly.
The free trial
You get 30 days from the moment you sign up, with full access to Trame and nothing to enter upfront. There's no separate "starter" tier, you're using the same product a paying account uses.
As the trial gets close to ending you'll see a banner in the app counting down the days, and Trame emails you when there are 3 days left and again when the trial ends.
Note
Adding a card partway through your trial doesn't restart or shorten it. Trame carries your remaining trial days over, so Stripe only charges you once the original 30 days are up.
Plans and pricing
Once you're ready to subscribe, there are two plans, both with every feature included:
- Monthly, £29 a month.
- Yearly, £290 a year, equivalent to 2 months free against the monthly price.
Both plans include the full product: client enquiry forms, the quote builder with digital sign-off and deposits, VAT invoicing issued automatically on acceptance, online payments through Stripe, expense tracking, and shared access for your team. There are no separate tiers, no commission on what you get paid, and no per-user fees for adding people to your team. Payments are processed by Stripe, whose own card fees still apply on what your customers pay you.
Where to see your plan
Go to Settings > Billing to see your current plan, its status and, once you've subscribed, your next charge date. This page is only visible to account owners, everyone else on your team can use Trame without seeing your billing details.
If your trial or subscription lapses
If your trial ends without a card on file, or a subscription is cancelled or fails to renew, you're taken to a Subscribe screen and can't use the app until you pick a plan. Nothing is lost while you're locked out, your jobs, quotes, invoices, clients and expenses are exactly as you left them.
Note
The pages your customers use are never part of this. If your subscription lapses, anyone you've sent a quote or invoice to can still open it, sign off a quote, or pay you, from their side the link keeps working.
If a payment fails, Trame doesn't cut you off immediately. Stripe retries the charge automatically over the following days, and you keep full access with a notice to update your card. You're only blocked if those retries are exhausted and Stripe cancels the subscription.
Frequently asked
Do I need to enter card details to start my trial?
No. Sign up and start using Trame straight away. You only need a card once you choose to subscribe, either during the trial or after it ends.
Can anyone on my team see or manage billing?
No. Only account owners can see Settings > Billing or change the subscription. Members can use the rest of Trame as normal.
What happens to my data if I don't subscribe?
Nothing is deleted. Your account is locked to a Subscribe screen until you pick a plan, but all your jobs, quotes, invoices, clients and expenses stay exactly as they were.
