How to export or delete your data

Download a copy of everything in your Trame account, or permanently delete your account and all its data.

Both actions live under Settings > Account.

Export your data

  1. Go to Settings > Account.
  2. Under Export your data, select Export data.

Trame prepares a zip file and downloads it straight to your device, there's no wait or email to follow up on. It contains your company profile plus every customer, enquiry, job, quote, invoice and expense on the account, as a set of spreadsheet-ready files.

Note

Any team member can run this, not just the owner, and it works even if your subscription has lapsed. Exporting is never blocked by billing.

Delete your account

Heads up

This permanently deletes your company's customers, jobs, quotes, invoices, expenses and receipts, and removes everyone's access. It cannot be undone. If you have a paid subscription, cancel it first from Settings > Billing. Deleting your account does not cancel Stripe billing on its own.

  1. Go to Settings > Account.
  2. Under Delete your account, select Delete my account.
  3. Type your email address exactly to confirm.
  4. Select Delete my account in the dialog.

Only the account owner can delete the account. Once confirmed, you're signed out immediately and the deletion can't be reversed.

Frequently asked

Can I get my data back after deleting my account?

No. Deletion is immediate and permanent. Export a copy first if there's any chance you'll want the records later.

What happens to the rest of my team when I delete the account?

Everyone loses access at the same time you do. This deletes the whole company account, not just your own login. If you only want to leave a team while the rest of the company carries on, ask an owner to remove you from Settings > Team instead of deleting anything.

I signed in with Google, does deleting my Trame account remove that connection too?

Deleting your account removes it on Trame's side, but Trame may still appear in your Google account's list of connected apps until you remove it there yourself.
