Finding your way around Trame
A map of the sidebar, your Home screen, the quick-add button, and where Settings lives.
Everything in Trame is reachable from the sidebar on desktop, or the tab bar on your phone. Here's what's where.
The main navigation
On desktop, the left sidebar groups your work into four bands:
- Home, Schedule, Enquiries, Jobs, where the day-to-day work happens.
- Quotes, Invoices, Expenses, the documents and money side of a job.
- Reports, profit and margin across your business.
- Clients, Price book, your reference data.
On your phone, the same destinations collapse into a tab bar with Home,
Jobs, Quotes and Invoices, plus a raised + in the centre for adding
something quickly (see below).
Your Home screen
Home is where you land after signing in. It's built around what needs your attention, not a list of everything:
- Owed to you and Paid this month at the top, both link through to Reports.
- A Quoting · Scheduled · In progress · To invoice strip showing where your jobs are in their pipeline.
- Needs attention, a ranked list of what to chase, new enquiries, invoices going overdue, quotes with no reply, and finished jobs you haven't invoiced yet.
- In progress, a rail of your live jobs with their next visit or how long they've been running.
While your account is still being set up, a Get started card takes the place of an empty Needs attention list, walking you through adding your business details, your first client, job, quote and invoice.
Adding something quickly
The + button, bottom centre on phone or the equivalent action on desktop,
opens a menu to add an expense, start a new job, quote or invoice, or share
your enquiry form link with a customer, without leaving the page you're on.
Finding Settings
Select your name at the bottom of the sidebar, then Settings. Settings is
grouped the same way as everything else:
- Personal, your own account.
- Business, your company details and, if you're the owner, your team.
- Money, payments and billing, if you have them set up.
Frequently asked
Why can't I see Team or Billing in Settings?
Both are owner-only. If you were added to someone else's company, you'll see your own Account settings but not Team or Billing.
Where do I log out?
Select your name at the bottom of the sidebar, then Log out.
