An estimate for a sole trader, using the HMRC Personal Allowance, Income Tax bands for England, Wales and Northern Ireland, and Class 4 National Insurance rates for the 2025/26 and 2026/27 tax years, which are frozen at the same figures. Scotland has different bands. It leaves out Class 2 National Insurance, student loan repayments, payments on account, other income and allowances, so your real figure will differ, and limited companies claim differently. This is not tax advice, so check your position with HMRC or your accountant before you file. Source: HMRC pay tax and claim back CIS deductions (GOV.UK)
