Invoices and expenses go one way, Trame into Xero. Payments come back, so an invoice settled in Xero stops being chased. Turn it off whenever you like.

No exports, no retyping, no chasing an invoice that was already paid.
CIS comes off labour. Not materials.
If you invoice contractors, this is the part that goes wrong. Deduct against the whole invoice and a job with a real materials bill withholds hundreds too much.
Mark the section as materials and it drops out of the base, at 20%, 30% or gross. Xero works it out its own way, and Trame checks the two figures agree to the penny.
Reverse charge VAT works too, using the rates in your own Xero. Work only for householders and neither applies to you.

Against the £1,000 of labour. Deduct against the full £1,500 and it is £300, holding back £100 that was never yours to lose.
Your accountant keeps working in Xero as normal.
Nothing changes at their end. They open Xero and it is there, approved and on the VAT return, with the CIS worked out and card payments sitting in a clearing account that reconciles the way they already reconcile card takings. No quarterly export, no folder of receipts to hand over.
